Rachel R. McAnallen, known simply as "Ms. Math" to children across the country, is foudner of the Institute for Math Mania. She has devoted her life to sharing the joy and beauty of mathematics with learners of all ages. Her teaching philosophy exemplifies mathematics as a language to be spoken, an art to be seen, a music to be heard, and a dance to be performed. Participants will learn teaching strategies that increase mathematics competency and will leave with a broadened perspective of mathematics instruction. |

Dr. Warren D. Crown, Associate Dean for Academic Education at Rutgers University, has concentrated on the professional development of mathematics teachers at both the elementary and secondary levels as well as mathematics curriculum development. His efforts have resulted in publications and computer software. Participants will learn how to use technology to effectively teach mathematics and will leave with greater ability to impact diverse student populations. |
